David Bergstrom is a fine classical guitarist who debuted with the Phoenix Symphony at just 19 years of age, after studying privately in Mexico city with Manuel Lopez Ramos. His Masters Degree in guitar performance is from Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas. While a student there, he had the opportunity to study with Andres Segovia in Madrid, Spain. It was after that study that Bergstrom received the letter of recommendation from Maestro Segovia which said, " David Bergstrom is a fine artiste, who soon will be known in his own country, and in the whole musical world. Bergstrom went to work for Ovation guitars upon graduation from SMU, where he enjoyed a full scholarship for study with Robert Guthrie. After graduation he became Director of Marketing for fretted products with Kaman Music, where he marketed Ovation, Takamine and Hamer guitars. In 1998 he was recruited to Yamaha Corporation of America in California where he oversaw the marketing of Yamaha musical instruments.

He is now retired and living on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and is now accepting applications for private guitar instruction from students in the Lakes region.
